Rainy Day / “Strife”

After trekking and eventually getting to go to the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History, spending almost $8 on crappy over-priced food, then working on my project, I began the trek home with my partners Amanda and Melissa. “We be tired” I cry in my mind. In real life I’m struggling, and being the Metro Headmaster is not as fun nor as glamorous as it seems. I want to spell ‘glamorous’ as ‘glamourous’ –Oh no the English (/British)! Anyway, on the ride back to College Park I wrote a really wonderful song called Strife. As I love my blogger, I’ve put it below.

We were there as you left
And got on that train,
You ignored the rain.
An omen and you knew it,
But you didn’t stay, instead you left me.

And now you’re gone far away, no more pain.
The pain was not from me.
But without you I lie on the ground, no more sound from me.
I miss you, you’ve left me,
I’m without you, and I’m sorry.

I wasn’t for you, so you told me.
You didn’t stay–stay with me.
Please stay, stay with me.
So come back, just come back for me.

I miss you more than life.
You penetrated my armor
And cut me deep inside.
Before you I was not lost,
Before you I was strong.
But then you came along,
And now you’ve left me–gone.

And now you’re gone far away, no more pain.
The pain was not from me.
But without you I lie on the ground, no more sound from me.
I miss you, you’ve left me,
I’m without you, and for THAT I’m sorry.

Now I must move on,
I know, far away from this place.
Far away from this pain–this pain not from me.

Please stay with me, I’m sorry.
I miss you, I’m empty.
And without you I’m gone.
I lie on the ground all alone.
I miss you, I’m sorry. Stay with me, stay for me.
So come back, just come back for me.
I miss you more than life…
Now I move on…from this strife…
This strife…
From this strife…
This strife.
